It has been 14 months since we started building Desku, in the post-Covid-19 Pandemic phase. Before that, we used to run a successful Mobile app and Software development agency for almost 7 Years.

Keeping the vision of making the most affordable and flexible helpdesk support software for SMBs and SMEs which is not only flexible but also fulfils the business owners’ need for managing customer queries under one roof. Having plenty of helpdesk software in the market, it was overwhelming for small and medium-scale businesses to afford it nor every feature in it was meant for them.

Here we are today, serving most of the small and medium-scale business owners and helping them with managing their customer’s queries.

We raised $120k in the pre-seed accelerator round! We are thankful to the whole Tinyseed team for believing and trusting us in our journey and outlook on our vision.

Why did we raise funds?

We always prefer to be transparent with our customers and users and we would love to mention a few of the main reasons why we have decided to raise funds.

 

-Taking a Short Trip maybe

Yes, it’s been almost a year since we are working 11-12 hours straight. It is time to take a refreshing blissful short break and rejuvenate our minds, celebrate this small success with our team so that we can come back with a boom and with more enthusiasm.

-Focus on GTM and Outbound Sales

Our key goal is now to execute and refine the GTM strategy we initially built and improve it further. Build and work on our funnel and improve flywheel to focus on inbound marketing and expand our team as well to add talent in outbound sales.

-Building up a strong sales team like never before

It is a surreal fact that without the team’s dedication it won’t have been possible to come this far! -Adding extra Support Wizard to cater to our customers faster

We want to make our support team stronger so that our customers do not need to wait for our responses for a longer time. Building a support team that will serve at least 18 hours to our customers to provide support is what we aim for. 

-Fulfilling our exciting and long-awaited Roadmap

We have come from nothing to something, but “everything” is yet to achieve and so this is not our end but the starting point. We have a long-awaited roadmap that needs to get fulfilled. To make up for something ravishing, we need to activate deep R&D mode for accurate execution. 

Desku’s history

Before Desku was born, Darshan and me ( Gaurav ) ran a Successful mobile application and software development company for 7 years. We also worked with some of the growing businesses, startups and VCs.

As we were growing, we have been getting queries from our customers and we used to handle them through Skype and Emails but we all know it is not a long-term management solution. We gradually started looking for solutions in the market. There were good products but they were built for enterprises and large-scale businesses. We needed fewer but required features and after researching for a few months we did not find any good ones and so we decided to build our own.

We built a very basic version of the helpdesk and named it Desku, it was for our own internal use and we gave it to our clients to keep track of their queries. We gradually got appreciated by our clients, and they started demanding to use this system, which sparked me to launch it in the market and that’s how we decided to pivot our product and build a SaaS For SMBs & SMEs

We were not sure of the efficiency of what we built initially and so customer reviews were much needed for making the product better. So we introduced LTDs and were a huge success with the brownie points that we got “honest reviews” and “suggestions” which ultimately helped us grow.

U.S based company, Tinyseed showed their trust in our journey and vision and Invested $120k in the pre-seed accelerator round.
